The DFWWW Read Timer for Android is now available to members:
Click Here To Download And Install The Android Read TimerFeatures:
- Countdown for total time
- Countdown for read time
- Countdown for critiques
- Multifunction Start, Pause, Resume button
- First critique button, automatically sets critique time to 1 minute
- Second critique button, automatically sets critique time to 30 seconds
- The critique buttons can be pressed anytime during the read. This will end the read and start the associated critique.
- Reset button
- Plays a single bell at the end of read time and critique times
- Plays three bells at the end of critique session
- Runs in the background
- Can be controlled from the notification

Description:Come perfect your pitch Friday, October 2nd, before DFWCON 2026! Young adult authors, Katie Bernet and Dana Swift, will lead a speed-dating style pitch practice class alongside 10 agented members of the DFW Writers' Workshop. They will discuss best pitch practices for querying, pitching in person, and reviewing the differences. You will also have the opportunity to practice your pitch in person and receive feedback in real time. Katie and Dana have attended DFWCON for over ten years and were both agented at the conference. The beauty of this class is that you will have 10 agented members you can practice with, learn from, and keep asking questions throughout the rest of the conference! So, if you want an early start to community and learning best practices to pitch, this class is for you!All proceeds go directly into supporting the nonprofit, local DFW WRITERS' WORKSHOP.
Katie's Bio:Katie Bernet is the New York Times, USA Today, and #1 Indie bestselling author of “Beth Is Dead.” She’s an award-winning creative director and a long-standing member of the DFW Writers’ Workshop. As the oldest of three sisters, she’s a diehard fan of “Little Women.”
Dana's Bio:DANA SWIFT started making up fantasy worlds when she was eleven years old and hasn’t stopped since. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned degrees in English and Advertising. Dana currently lives in Austin, Texas with her husband and her two dogs whose antics inspired the dragons in her latest release, When Dealing With Dragons.
