Come perfect your pitch Friday, October 2nd, before DFWCON 2026! Young adult authors, Katie Bernet and Dana Swift, will lead a speed-dating style pitch practice class alongside 10 agented members of the DFW Writers' Workshop. They will discuss best pitch practices for querying, pitching in person, and reviewing the differences. You will also have the opportunity to practice your pitch in person and receive feedback in real time. Katie and Dana have attended DFWCON for over ten years and were both agented at the conference. The beauty of this class is that you will have 10 agented members you can practice with, learn from, and keep asking questions throughout the rest of the conference! So, if you want an early start to community and learning best practices to pitch, this class is for you!

Katie's Bio:

DANA SWIFT started making up fantasy worlds when she was eleven years old and hasn’t stopped since.
