"ACT IIb | Saggy Middles" with J. Suzanne Frank

Plotting and outlining are a clear-cut path from beginning to middle…but then…even in the Hero's Journey, there's a whole quarter (Act IIb) with … nothing. If you're building up a tent, half of it is falling down before you get to Act III. It's the Empty Quarter and in this workshop, author J. Suzanne Frank will point out that it's far from empty, it's full, but you may not be aware of how to realize it in your pages. Bring your manuscript and prepare to see the story swirling in that empty quarter, like genies in the desert.
