In recent weeks, the workshop board has been monitoring updates from the CDC and Tarrant County and discussing our response to the outbreak of COVID-19. Our concern is to keep our Wednesday night critique safe for our members, as well as to support the community in limiting the transmission of the virus.
Things have progressed quickly—what’s appropriate for Wednesday’s meeting is out of date by Thursday afternoon. Starting this Wednesday, March 18, 2020, DFWWW meetings will be suspended for two to three weeks.
We are working right now on a way to conduct meetings online, including read-and-critique. DFWWW has met continuously for over 40 years, and we don’t plan to break that streak.
Typically, the Workshop meets every Wednesday, regardless of holidays or weather. We welcome visitors to come to any of these regular weekly meetings. There is no need to notify us in advance, just show up!
We meet at 7 p.m. at the Simmons Center, 508 Simmons Drive in Euless, TX and rarely go past 10:00 p.m. Many continue on after the meeting at a nearby IHOP on 183 and Westpark/Murphy in Euless.
