Dallas/Fort Worth has a strong literary community. DFW Writers Workshop wants to bring it together in one place.
Read and Critique. Book Signings. Conferences. Readings. Screenings. Write-Ins. Launches.
It's all here, and it's all for you.
*If you would like to post an upcoming literary event happening in the metroplex, feel free! We ask that you double check your listing for accuracy and spelling. We reserve the right to delete any events that do not coincide with our overall nonprofit mission.
The Workshop meets every Wednesday, regardless of holidays or weather. We welcome visitors to come to any of these regular weekly meetings. There is no need to notify us in advance, just show up!
We meet at 7 p.m. at the Simmons Center, 508 Simmons Drive in Euless, TX and rarely go past 10:00 p.m. Many continue on after the meeting at a nearby IHOP on 183 and Westpark/Murphy in Euless.
Having nearly completed my yearlong book tour of my debut memoir, Normal's Just a Cycle on a Washing Machine, I am repeating my popular continuing ed course at SMU three Thursday evenings in June. Night one is the basics of self publishing not using Create Space or Amazon. Second evening is the production process. Third evening is the business of bookselling and building a platform. Doesn't matter what stage your book is in or what type it is, just a boost to get it out there.
