Candace Havens will be signing at Barnes and Noble in Stonebriar Mall on Sunday, November 13.

Steve Manning announced our #308th book for the Trophy Room, Model Marine by Candace Havens. This is Candy’s eleventh book published, since her first publication in 2005. Congrats Candy!

Candace Havens is having a book signing Sunday, Nov. 13th from 1-3pm at Barnes and Noble in Stonebriar Mall. She will be one of 10 authors and they will be taking Q & A. Check out her website for more details.

Harry Hall is speaking at the Toastmasters District 25 Conference, on Nov 19th at the Southlake Marriot. For those who attended his book signing at Crystals Pizza know the local media also attended. Irving TV’s About Towne featured Harry’s book signing. Check it out at www.ci.irving.tx.us

Harry Hall announced that he and fellow member John Keith will be taking over the Running Debate in Texas Tri-athlete News magazine.  Harry will write the ‘Runner’ side and John will write the ‘Non-runner’ side.  Their first column appears in the December issue.

George Goldthwaite heard from Books in Motion.  Recording has begun on his newest audio book.

Donna Lasko announced three bylaw changes proposed by the Board.

Donna announced that Susan Clark, chairperson of the Building Search Committee, needs assistance.  If you live in the HEB area and notice a commercial building for lease or sale, jot down the information and send it to Susan Clark.  She will handle it from there.

Katy Roberts volunteered to be the Election Coordinator.  She is looking for three ballot counters.

Dues for 2012 are now due.  Dues are $100 a year and it is very simple and highly recommended to renew and pay online at www.dfwwritersworkshop.org.

Russell Connor announced that next month he will meet Steven King.

The board needs a volunteer to be the Election Coordinator.  Duties will include ballot counting and coordinating the 2012 Board Election.

Our annual Halloween Read is October 26th.  We will also have a Potluck that night, so bring your favorite dish to share.  Feel free to come in costume.
