Programs

Our mission is to encourage writers of all genres and experience levels to produce professional quality writing suitable for publication. All of our programming embodies this mission.

Our weekly read and critique session are utilized by beginners and multi-published authors alike to improve their craft. Our conference has classes for everyone, no matter the stage of their career. Our residency gives an author the rare opportunity to focus solely on his/her writing without interruption. The DFW Writers Bloc offers people networking and conference-like classes year round, and the DFW Teen Writers' Workshop cultivates young writers by offering read & critique sessions and outside speakers to help improve their craft.

As a nonprofit organization that's operated since 1977, we pride ourselves on our longevity. We have built an incredible literary family, and we welcome you to be part of it. Come meet us at any one (or all!) of the programs we offer.
