Ann Howells has done what all writers want to do: She has not only caught her world, she has found the essence of it and has rendered it into words.
Ann Howells is the author of Under a Lone Star, Letters for My Daughter, and the 2017 William D. Barney Memorial Chapbook Contest winner, Softly Beating Wings. Howells is a four times Pushcart Prize nominee and was named a "Distinguished Poet of Dallas" in 2001. She has served on the board of Dallas Poets Community, is a member of the Academy of American Poets and has had her work read on NPR as well as published in numerous journals and anthologies.
